Gene Keys Express: How I Unlocked My Gift of Restraint (GK 52)

LONG POST WARNING!

Last Friday I unlocked the gift of Gene Key 52 in my Pearl sphere of the Gene Keys Prosperity sequence in the space of a 40min walk in the park. This was possible due to my own innovated approach to working through the Gene Keys.

For those who are contemplating the Gene Keys or who have tried and gave up before making the first leap (unlocked the gift), I'm going to share an example of what I actually did this time around. Even though my AI tools generate a LOT of content you can use to work through acknowledging, accepting, and embracing the shadow, I seldom need much of it anymore.

The Gene Keys Contemplation Process involves 3-Steps:

  1. Recognize how the repressive and reactive shadows are showing up in your life. This first step is often the trickiest! Fortunately, AI is a huge help. Rather than try to pinpoint what behaviors are actually manifesting for each shadow, I prefer to take a pattern I know I have and get AI to tell me which Gene Key shadow it belongs to. I do this using my Pattern Match AI tool.

  2. Let go of the energetic resistance built up around your shadow behaviors. Instead of resisting the feeling and fighting and pushing it away, do the opposite by allowing, sitting in, and embracing the feeling. Then release the stuck energy using whatever technique works most efficiently for you i.e. Reiki, Emotion Code, EFT, Non-Personal Awareness (NPA). I prefer NPA which I'll explain further down.

  3. Make the Leap: You start this process standing on one cliff (in the Shadow frequency) and on the far side of an expanse is another cliff (in the Gift frequency). There is no logical bridge between the two. Your mind has to make a magical leap instead. To do this, you juggle, contemplate, and play with both the Shadow and Gift concepts and behaviors in your mind simultaneously until a magical moment happens and you suddenly find your perspective standing in the Gift frequency. This shift is often accompanied by an expansive feeling in your body as trapped light now escapes through a crack in your DNA and your cells fully reprogram themselves with the new Gift perspectives. In the day and weeks that follow, you'll see a ripple effect of changes in your life.

Let's see these 3 Steps in action...

Step 1:

I started with getting clear on a limiting pattern, one that has been a life-long challenge:

"I struggle with selling. Asking if they want to see my offer feels uncomfortable. It feels as if asking them to give me money is shameful. I think I have an issue with receiving, my parents certainly did. I cave and wuss out before I even ask or before they get a chance to reject my offer. Maybe I have a fear of rejection, I'm not sure."

Pattern Match AI:

Because this pattern relates to asking for or receiving money, I figured that it belongs to the Prosperity sequence. So, I gave the above quoted paragraph to the Pattern Match custom AI app that I built in ChatGPT, along with all 4 spheres and Gene Keys in my Prosperity sequence:

When I hit submit, AI does an analysis of each Gene Key Shadow to find the right fit.

1. Gene Key 62 (Vocation) – Shadow: Intellect (Repressive: Obsessive / Reactive: Pedantic)

  • Repressive Nature: Obsessive – This means getting stuck in your head, over-analyzing things, and not taking action.

  • Reactive Nature: Pedantic – This is about being overly rigid in how things must be done, missing the bigger picture.

  • Relevance: While this does show a tendency to overthink, it doesn’t directly explain the receiving/shame issue. Moving on.

2. Gene Key 12 (Culture) – Shadow: Vanity (Repressive: Elitist / Reactive: Malicious)

  • Repressive Nature: Elitist – Feeling separate from others, as if you have to handle things on your own and not ask for help.

  • Reactive Nature: Malicious – Using words sharply to protect yourself when feeling vulnerable.

  • Relevance: This could play a role if part of your struggle with asking is feeling like you have to be above “needing” money or help. But it’s still not quite hitting the core.

3. Gene Key 20 (Brand) – Shadow: Superficiality (Repressive: Absent / Reactive: Hectic)

  • Repressive Nature: Absent – This means mentally checking out when fear arises. If you "zone out" or avoid selling altogether, this could be a match.

  • Reactive Nature: Hectic – Trying to do too much and rushing rather than truly engaging.

  • Relevance: If you find yourself "disappearing" in sales conversations or dodging the ask, this could be why.

4. Gene Key 52 (Pearl) – Shadow: Stress (Repressive: Stuck / Reactive: Restless)

  • Repressive Nature: Stuck – Feeling paralyzed, unable to move forward.

  • Reactive Nature: Restless – Being unable to sit with discomfort, always needing to be doing something.

  • Relevance: This is highly relevant because the fear of rejection may make you freeze up (stuck) or avoid (restless). If you tense up at the moment of asking, this is worth contemplating.


The Key That Stands Out Most: Gene Key 52 (Pearl)

The shadow of stress creates a feeling of being stuck, which aligns with your struggle to ask for the sale. If asking for money feels "shameful," this suggests an internal block around receiving abundance—which makes sense since the Pearl Sequence is all about prosperity.

  • If you tend to freeze or back down before rejection even happens, that’s the Repressive Nature (Stuck).

  • If you find yourself overcompensating by doing too much but avoiding the real ask, that’s the Reactive Nature (Restless).

Gene Key 52 was certainly the right one!

I then changed to my Gene Keys Express custom AI tool that I also built in ChatGPT, gave it the quoted pattern, and Gene Key 52 and line 5 information. AI then generated the following report. Please note that while the report is comprehensively detailed, I've only included the content I actually read/used during this contemplation.

This is why your struggle with selling and receiving ties directly into your Pearl Sphere. If you feel resistance asking for money, it’s likely because stress (your shadow) is keeping you locked in survival mode, preventing the natural flow of prosperity.

Role of Line 5 in the Pearl Sphere

Line 5 is about power—leading and managing resources efficiently. You’re meant to influence, organize, and direct prosperity toward meaningful goals. But if you can’t receive with ease, your ability to guide others will feel strained. Your challenge is ensuring your power benefits both yourself and the wider community.

Right now, your fear of rejection and guilt around receiving is keeping you stuck in stress, instead of owning your ability to influence and receive.


The Shadow of Stress

At its core, stress is about resistance to life’s natural flow. Your nervous system is locked in survival mode, causing you to either freeze (Stuck) or push too hard (Restless).

Shadow Natures

Repressive Nature: Stuck (Shame, Guilt, Paralysis)

  • You feel guilty about receiving money or attention.

  • You avoid selling because you fear rejection.

  • You hesitate to step into leadership, even though you have the skills.

Reactive Nature: Restless (Overcompensation, Overworking)

  • You try to force sales instead of letting them happen naturally.

  • You avoid rejection by over-explaining, over-delivering, or giving discounts.

  • You’re constantly in motion, but not actually making progress.


How This Shadow Might Manifest in Your Life

Repressive Nature: Stuck

  1. You avoid making offers because you feel asking for money is shameful.

  2. You underprice yourself or wait for people to offer first.

  3. You freeze when it’s time to sell, hoping someone will buy without you asking.

Reactive Nature: Restless

  1. You keep tweaking your offer instead of putting it out there.

  2. You talk too much in sales calls, trying to convince instead of leading.

  3. You push harder and harder, but nothing seems to stick.


How This Shadow Has Served You

Repressive Nature: Stuck

  • It protected you from rejection or criticism.

  • It kept you from wasting energy on unaligned opportunities.

  • It forced you to reflect on your self-worth and beliefs about receiving.

Reactive Nature: Restless

  • It helped you develop resilience by pushing through discomfort.

  • It allowed you to gain experience in different selling strategies.

  • It taught you that forcing doesn’t work, leading you to seek a better way.


Opportunities for Growth

Repressive Nature: Stuck

  1. Practice receiving without guilt—start small (compliments, gifts, small wins).

  2. Reframe selling as service—you’re solving a problem, not “taking” money.

  3. Use embodiment practices (deep breathing, EFT tapping) to process stress.

Reactive Nature: Restless

  1. Focus on restraint—pause before responding in sales conversations.

  2. Let go of needing a sale today—trust that the right clients will come.

  3. Shift from convincing to leading—be the expert and hold your ground.

Thought Process Analysis

Circumstances (C):

  • You need to sell your offer.

Thoughts (T):

  • Shadow: “Asking for money feels shameful.”

  • Gift: “I trust that those who need this will see its value.”

  • Siddhi: “Prosperity flows effortlessly through me.”

Feelings (F):

  • Shadow: Stress, guilt, anxiety.

  • Gift: Calm, presence, trust.

  • Siddhi: Stillness, complete peace.

Actions (A):

  • Shadow: Avoid selling, over-explain, discount.

  • Gift: Make the offer and hold space.

  • Siddhi: Presence alone magnetizes the right people.

Results (R):

  • Shadow: Lack of sales, exhaustion, frustration.

  • Gift: Sales with ease, deeper relationships, impact.

  • Siddhi: A natural, abundant flow of prosperity.

Reading and contemplating the above content started to open up my mind to new perspectives.

Step 2:

I took a walk in the park, visualized myself at the point of pitching my offers and hearing "No." The objective was to FEEL my fear and resistance. Then I used a deceptively simple technique called Non-Personal Awareness (NPA) to release the unwanted energy.

I simply said "This X is not personal" and replaced X with a label of the feeling.

The below bullet points are variations of that one sentence. I said these statements in my mind and under my breath, over and over, as a I walked.

  • This feeling is not personal.

  • This resistance is not personal.

  • This fear is not personal.

  • This stress is not personal.

  • This stress is not personal and I choose to let it go now.

NOTE: I don't consider the extension of "and I choose to let it go now" to be mandatory as long as I already have the intention of letting the energy go.

When I no longer felt stressed by the idea of pitching, I then moved to Step 3.

Step 3:

I had previously read that the Gift of Gene Key 52 is "Restraint" which is the ability to hold my energy without overreacting. Instead of collapsing under stress or overcompensating, I needed to stay centered, confident, and receptive.

As I walked, I juggled and played with the differences between Stress and Restraint and what would need to happen for me to operate with Restraint, until suddenly I experienced the shift!

My learnings:

  1. I was attached to making the sale! As a consequence I was doing all manners of things to avoid the potential of not making each sale. I was in effect, avoiding rejection by not asking and getting closure. By not asking, I was living in the fantasy of "They might buy" instead of getting a clear "Yes" or "No" and moving on.

  2. Jenn and I need to remain detached from the sale. To do this we restructured our funnel such at the 'Practice Playground' is the cornerstone of our free community offering. This mattered because:

    1. A thriving community will attract a constant flow of new members.

    2. Every new member is a potential customer either now or in the future.

    3. Each member is at a different stage of their journey and may or may not be here to work with us directly. We needed to trust that the 'correct' people will recognize our value and sign up at some stage in their journey.

    4. The larger the community, the larger the demand on our time, the more picky we need to be for who we spend our time with.

    5. Trust that everything is unfolding in divine timing.

  3. Thanks to honest constructive feedback from members, we now appreciate the fact that not everyone can afford to lock into a monthly subscription and they may have been burnt by bad actors in the past who charged their credit card during a trial. So we changed our offerings as well to let members taste test our offerings or pay for one-off services, instead of or before subscribing.

  4. By restructuring the funnel, creating flexibility in the way you pay for our services, and recognizing that we have a win every time someone simply joins Purpose Playground, I am no longer attached to the sale. This means I am now respecting my own TIME instead of giving it away left, right, and center.

Both the repressive and reactive shadows of Gene Key 52 have now been transformed into the Gift of Restraint! I hope you got value from reading my process 😊
